if they are to be

treasure.jpg
perhaps, it’s not a crime
fear is only steels that stand side by side
imprison you from real life outside

it clutches you by your wrist
telling you to sit quietly in the corner
watching the truth of each taste
pass you by

sit in the corner
watching what life offers
pass you by

for the rest of your life
sitting on a bench
for fear doesn’t allow you to tie up
those laces and go play the real game

afraid to lose
what you might never want to keep
before you know it is real,
it is never real
facade treats you like a fool
your mind won’t let you rule

shout out and let them go away if they want
don’t keep treasures
which perhaps are worthless
the treasures that come to you
are the real gifts God sends you

if they are to be
they will always be
